    Audio Loss at random intervals

    Hi there guys.

I have a system with an older MOBO, I want to say it is an ASROCK P55 Extreme.

I've recently set it up as a decent gaming rig with 16gb DDR3 RAM and a spare GTX 970 I had lying around and it works damn great for most games or media creation software I work with from time to time.

However, I've had an issue lately where out of nowhere the sound will completely STOP on the system.
I haven't to my ability found any traces or sources of this error at all through Event Log, etc.

I am using the rear 3.5mm Headphone jack, which feeds to my Headphones and not a speaker setup.

A strange symptom that appears with this is web videos, such as on YouTube or Vimeo, will play in slow motion.
Video within VLC or Daum PotPlayer play normally but still do not have any audio.

The only fix I have found is a total system restart.

    Issue and Symptoms:

    • Audio loss at random intervals
    • Most often occurs while playing video games
    • Web Videos play silently, in slow motion / will not load
    • FRONT Audio jack-ports do not work

    A few things I've tried:

    • Install and use Realtek Audio Drivers
    • Disable NVIDIA Audio Services and drivers
    • Do the opposite of the above, only using NVIDIA Drivers this time
    • Not use either, windows defaults
    • Reinstall Windows 10 from to a cleaned disk
    • Updates left and right
    • Picked through the Event Logs to look for clues
    • Uninstall BOTH drivers from Device Manager and rebooted.
