    Monitor Will Not Switch Off...

Hey guys, I'm running Windows 10 Pro and I've set my monitor to turn off after 10minutes in "Power saving" but it doesn't turn off. It stays on all night...

Anyone know what I can do?

    Thanks!

What monitor and GPU are you using?

I would first try reinstalling the drivers for your GPU and monitor (if it has any).

Thanks, but I already tried re-installing the Nvidia drivers a few times.

Is there something else I can try?

I've noticed that the monitor will now sometimes turn off and sometimes stay on...

Is there a way to tell Windows 10 to turn off the monitor when I "Lock" the PC?

Is there a way I can tell the monitor to dim itself after a set time? I'm afraid I'm damaging the monitor by it being turned on 24/7...

I just tried something different: I went into "Power Options" and set the Display to turn off after 3 minutes.

I then "Locked" Windows 10 and went outside for 10 minutes, but the Display was still turned on when I came back...

I hope someone can help me.

I'm not aware of any PC monitors which can be dimmed like a laptop display. Can you try connecting your monitor to another PC to see if the monitor will enter standby on a different PC? This will tell you if you have a problem with the PC or monitor.

Also, try resetting the monitor to factory defaults and run the Power Troubleshooter at Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Troubleshooting\All Categories.
