    You should check the Headers Wiring on the MB. Each wire has a Mark that must fit exactly to same Mark on MB Header. They are NOT interchangeable. +1 has to got to +1, and +2 has to go to 2+. It happens sometimes that they are not good connected, they seem to be fixed but they are only fix by surrounding Plastic cover of the heard.

    Thanks, but I think it's time for a pro to take control. I might do more damage than good since I am not accustomed to servicing computers. I will stick to adding a new HDD, adding RAM, changing the VC, etc.

    Problem solved. I went to a computer service and after tests, the conclusion is that the MB is at fault. So my solution will be replacing it, since it seems that ASRock are crap anyway. Thanks for all your help
