Windows 10: Windows 10 and no touch screen
Windows 10 and no touch screen
I have a Dell SX2210T touch screen monitor that worked with my Dell computer and then with a replacement computer running Windows 8 & 8.1. Then along came Windows 10 and my monitor has no touch capability. Even the monitor driver/s have disappeared. Device Manager lists no touchscreen device. I tried to get a driver from the Dell site, but this proved to be a no, no as I just went round in circles and never got a driver.
Does any one know how I can resolve this annoying problem? I don't have any software to reinstall from . OR... do I just forget touch screen ability?

My touch screen randomly won't work, only to find that it's disabled in Device Manager. "USB Input Device" is what it shows up as. I believe it's a software I have installed that may be interfering. Help would be very much appreciated!
My touch screen failed to start every time I closed the laptop cover,The only way to get it back was a restart. I fixed it buy going to the intel graphics setup and shut off all the 3D selections. It worked for me its worth a try.:)
I'm planning to buy a new laptop but will never be using the touch screen. Will I lose any functionality in Win10 by just using a mouse and keyboard with a touch-screen laptop? Do touch screen models use a different version of Win10?
