I am sorry Matt but that is a step by step instruction. After you downloaded the file: wdm.zip and for simplicity, move it to desktop.
    1. Point your mouse to wdm.zip then click with right mouse button
    2. a menu popup, click on extract to wdm
    3. Navigate to the folder where you can find the file: wdma_emu.inf
    4. Point your mouse at the file then click with right mouse button again
    5. a menu pop up, move your mouse to Install then click with the left mouse button.

    Hi there

Might seem obvious but also check that the default playback device is set to SPEAKERS -- the default often changes to HEADPHONE.

You need also in some cases to disable any extra enhancements in the properties (play back devices) as well as lowering the bit rate to 16 bit - also reduce to 96000 Hz. A restart might also be needed.

    Cheers

The problem has been solved and worked perfectly at 24-48000, 24-96000, 24-192000 so why do we have to lower to 16 bit ?
Are you using the generic driver from MS ?. If so, you might want to install the latest driver from the manufacturer. If the driver worked with 8.1 then it should work with10.

    Cheers !!!

No; I could not get the 5.1 audio to work because when i go to test the speakers even after configuring it properly; I still only get the left front speaker playing audio. The rest of them(except the sub which does seem to work) do not play audio. Also; for some reason; the left front speaker is playing sound for all of the sattelite speakers instead of the correct ones. And its not the way my speakers are connected either as they worked perfectly the way they are connected now under windows 7.

Top; also; is there a way to get entire soundblaster software suite to somehow work with 10? because when i try to run one of the several utilities for the sound card i get the error message stating that the audio device that this application supports could not be found or something to that extent. So I cant use any of the surround enhancements for this sound card it seems until microsoft or creative possibly come up with a fix for it so it will work. And i hope they do come up with a fix because i really dont want to have to run out and spend another $100-200 for a new card that will work with 10.
