    Intermittent faults are the worst to troubleshoot. Usually, when you want it to fail, it won't. And when you really need the PC it crashes. That first drive may have actually failed? Mechanical spinner drives will wear out with prolonged use. A new SSD failing soon after being installed, is possible but unlikely. I guess its wait and see time now.
