Problems and full of Problems - Logitech Webcam 9000 Pro stopped recor

    Hi,

Last night my Webcam 9000 pro stopped working and I uninstalled the software three times but still it wouldn't work. I rang Logitech team and they said, it is with Win 10 uploads.

Anyone else has the same problem please? First my printer stopped working and now this. I had many crashes of my computer and sometimes horrible experience but no help from Microsoft.

Is there a practical help from MS please?

I am over 84 and find it hard to cope with these crashes. Anyone prepared to render me help?

I Preach Christianity and put one or two videos every day. I have created over 5200 Videos so far.

Try this...open Device Manager (right click icon bottom left corner).
Click on "Sound Video and Game Controllers".....extend to open....then right click on Webcam 900 Pro....is it working properly?
    If not try updating Driver.
If that does not work Uninstall....then restart computer....this should reinstall the webcam if properly connected to computer.

Your printer and your webcam are not Microsoft products, and Microsoft will not help you with these device drivers, because they have their own support from their manufacturer.
Download the Windows 10 Driver for your WebCam from the Logitech Site: Webcam Pro 9000 - Logitech Support.
What is the make and model# of your printer? Download it's driver from the manufacturers support/download drivers site.

I too have had a problem with my Logitech Webcam Pro 9000 and so do many other users as can be seen on this link https://community.logitech.com/s/que...100005BbamXCAR. The software Motion Detection and Quick capture do not work with Windows 10 Anniversary and Logitech blames Microsoft for dropping compressed MJPG and H.264 streams for webcams. Some sources predicted that Microsoft would issue a fix for this in September but this has not been the case. https://community.logitech.com/s/que...100005Hy18SCAR

Nevertheless downloading and installing the driver from here http://support.logitech.com/en_us/pr...-9000#download does get the camera working but not the software.

Got my Pro9000 working today without doing anything to the registry.

    Here we go,

With webcam plugged in go to device manager, find your camera and uninstall it, tick the box to remove the driver for it.!!

Restart your computer with the camera unplugged.

Open the Microsoft Camera app in windows, it will complain it cannot find the camera so plug in your camera and wait.

When ( i hope) you see the video from the camera you can close the camera app.

Open the logitech webcam software (LWS) and it will complain that you are using a microsoft driver and that the logitech driver is much beter (It is but does'nt work) and give you a choice of using either the microsoft or the logitech driver.

Select the microsoft driver and voila! LWS now works when you open it and click "Quick Capture" :)

    Also works in Skype .

The Microsoft driver does limit the functions a bit but it's a workaround till they get the problem fixed.

    Hope this works for you,

    Same situation

    Hi Brother,

I did delete the webcam and driver from Device Manager. Restarted the Computer with unplugged webcam. The webcam icon was still there on my task bar.

I clicked on the icon and it said reconnect. Nothing happened.

Then, I plugged the webcam and a black screen appeared but soon appeared the usual warning. about Launcher as before. I had to close the programme.

I went to the device manager and the webcam was there with updated driver.

My webcam works on chats but I can't open it to create my videos for Youtube.

    Quite funny situation.

    Hi,

I reloaded the software LWS280 and my video was working but I clicked next for restart of my computer and tried to open it no way.

Can I keep on using the webcam without restarting?

Please read my instructions again..you have to run the MICROSOFT camera app NOT LWS! after you reboot with the camera dis-connected THEN connect the camera and wait :) once you see your camera video close the camera app then click on LWS it will ask you to choose a driver, choose the microsoft one.

    Webcam still not working

    Hi,

I did open the Microsoft camera app and I did see my video.

I closed the MS Camera App and then I clicked LWS280.exe programme and it started downloading the software without asking me a choice. After the upload finished, I tried again and the same problem.

Should I click webcam icon and not the LWS280.exe file?

    Confused
