Hi, I'd hate to think of the depressing daily thought of not having Realtek enhancements.. so here's how I got a whole list of enhancements.

Caveat- there is the usual health warning of using drivers not adapted by your manufacturer for your particular laptop. Nonetheless, the enhancements work.. all seems fine.

    So:
    Go here:
    Realtek
and 'Accept to the above' - accept the bad English (it's a Taiwanese site).

Ignore the smaller ones above 'Readme' (I tried one.. it just went round and round in an uninstall/restart loop).

    Download the 223175k one.
Uninstall your existing Realtek driver. (At least that's what I did this time given my earlier experience).
    Install the driver and restart.

Hopefully enjoy them- with your PC hooked up to your vintage 100W audio system!

I use the site above. Click "I agree to the above" and it pops up saying "Object Moved to here" with a link that just loops back round to the same site. Why is it not working for me.

No every Realtek Chipset supports it , it depends on the MB Maker and how they are supported by the Driver , I have it on one Computer but not the Other.

But a good Free Equalizer is Equalizer APO with the PEACE GUI front end , works well on the system where i don't get "enhancements" It can also be applied to Inputs and Outs as needed use the PEACE GUI >Settings EQ APO Configurator Button once installed.

It's not doing anything here, is it supposed to be system wide ?

The site behaves a bit oddly.
If you do that, then in
HOME > Downloads > Computer Peripheral ICs > PC Audio Codecs > High Definition Audio Codecs > Software
    click
    High Definition Audio Codecs
    you should eventually get there.

Hi, with the Realtek driver provided by my laptop manufacturer, no enhancements. But with the direct download from the site.. magically they appeared. So are you saying you tried the direct download from Realtek & it didn't work for you?
Alas I have no idea if it will work for everyone.

Thanks for the equaliser idea.. looks good!

No enhancements on my Gigabyte X58 MB but the EP45 did as does my not ASUS x99 MB, but it does not matter what driver I install eg the R279 or the latest ones in the Driver Thread the CP>Realtek >SoundManager stays labelled Gigabyte , and there are no changes or enhancement there or in Window's Sounds Applet under speakers etc .

I am currently using .7926 Drivers and they are good and seem louder than previous versions . The R279 are over a year old now , it seems the Realtek FTP Site and Windows WHQL/Windows Update Catalogue is the other way to get the newest ones.

EQ APO works well , once that is installed , just run the PEACE GUI File in the Equalizer APO Config Folder and it sets itself up and you use it , not EQ APO for all settings etc.

Yes it is Peace you see in my Pics above

If you are a diehard Audiophile you might want to play with EQ APO on it's own but Peace is easy to play with and will self adjust Peak if you let it.....
