    the adapter gets it power from computers usb plug ,so make sure the usb plug is working

    Does this mean it's been a while since you were able to do that?
    Probably before your computer was upgraded to Win10 if that's what you have done.
    Do those 2 laptop hard drives have an OS on them different than your Win10?
