@Gary another place you'll notice an immediate performance kick with RAPID is, when you run your virus scanner on the disk(other disk, 2nd internal or external of course will slow the scanning down) because of the much faster read times.
I did and my MR image was a tad faster as well.

@Cliff S, my thinking of RAPID mode as of no use to me up until now has been based on the writings about their about it being of benefit only at queue depths of 32 or greater and my only SHORT TERM (hours at most) observation of perceived performance on my machine.

I WILL however, give it a go over the course of a week, as you suggest, and will see if I perceive any change in how my system performs for me. Nonetheless, it'll still be apples versus oranges in the sense that you probably use your machine differently than I do mine.

Most interesting to me will be if my wife observes any performance difference with RAPID mode active on HER laptop. Hers is oly SATA 2 and I installed SSD identical to mine (850 EVO 500 GB) - she only gets half the sequential rates on the Magician benchmark that my SATA 3 laptop does - she's nonetheless pleased with the better responsiveness than her old 5400 RPM 1 TB spinner gave her. I won't explain RAPID to her (not that she'd care to hear it) and just ask her if she notices any difference in the coming week. (We both have 8GB RAM).
The amount of RAM used depends on how much you have, on desktop.

Between the arrow is Samsung(Magician and RAPID

And as you can see it has no effect on total ram usage(it is using the same amount as before (when I had Magician turned off even),

For her SATA II it will definitely be a boost over a 5400 spinner. Plus as you have surely noticed laptop batteries last longer with SSDs as they don't create so much heat(good for desktops too) and the laptop doesn't need to have the active cooling on as much. Too bad cars are not built so, "More power with less juice":).

I marked the thread solve because my original gripe is now taken care of, even though I did learn to live without it in windows(Ubuntu or GNU/Linux, doesn't have it, but they are faster and more stable OS's anyhow).HaHa!

But I'll keep an eye out, like I'm sure you all will, for stability issues in RAPID, specially when it comes to Fast Startup in power options, even though I never had a problem on Windows 8.1 with it.

So it's solved but still open for debate/discussion...

Yours are way better than mine probably because I am using SATA II

Well before I installed 4.8 with Rapid, Those stats you got now, were better than my original stats. My original stats were really poor.

Do we just install OVER our previous version? I skipped 4.7 and still have 4.5.1. I have a 512 GB 850 Pro.

That's all I did, installed over my 4.7, had no problems, and 1st thing you want to do after installing 4.8 is turn on Rapid Mode, then reboot. :)

OK...cover me, I'm going in! However, I am going to do a Macrium full image first...and even that has an update today!

Sometimes I think my system and I spend more time updating OS and Software and Virus protection than when I actually use it!

Ok good idea, but after you upgrade Magician and make your changes, and turning on Rapid Mode, You should make another image .....I made mine after my update, so I don't loose any of my settings I made on Magician. :)
