Then I guess for you, it's only real use, is for firmware updates. Pretty much for me too, seeing I don't/won't waste writes on benchmarking, although I can use everything except performance optimization(I use windows for that) and RAPID(don't need any more). Although to check system settings for the SSD it's nice, to be able to look only in one place.
    Hello

    Samsung may contact for instructions

Can someone please explain how rapid mode speeds up booting, since the ram is empty until the pc is switched on. Does the ssd send the os to ram while the bios is loading?

You're absolutely right. It starts after the boot process and actually slows down the boot process slightly.

I can't check rapid mode with an 850pro as the only one I have is running W7pro 64. On the same machine is an 840pro 128gb running W10pro 64 and it is in rapid mode according to Magician. This pc has 16gb ram. Firmware is DXM06B0Q for the 840 and Magician is 4.5.

I forgot to mention that the W10 with the 840pro in rapid mode, went through the update process from 8.1pro successfully despite rm left running at the time.

You can have only 1 SSD in rapid mode on the same PC.

This works the same way for EVO 850 ... but do not then make restoration of the image ... of what I should do.

But then with crack indicated by Rajinder it works again ...

And Samsung is well find and solve the problems

Now, I find that Magician is not working perfectly, when I tried to cancel overprovisioning, the clear op is greyed out.
