    1 Uninstall Samsung Magician
    2 Restart PC
3 Go to Samsung Magician SSD Software (7.2.0.930) Download | TechPowerUp
4 Under "Download" click "show older version".
5 Download Samsung Magician SSD Software 6.2.0
    6 Install
    7 Untick Launch Samsung Magician

Samsung Magician Version 7.2.1 released only through their own software updater, not on their download site, there it's still 7.2.0.930
There is no changelog yet though.

Mike I try to only post when updates are on the developers site, and Major geek has been wrong too many times for my taste, posting an update, but when you download from them it was the old version.

I'm curious why anyone would download it from anywhere other than Samsung. They have a dedicated webpage that hosts the latest versions of their most used PC software.

    Hi,

Because their website is hardly available for downloads most of the time perhaps ?

    Cheers,

Hardly available? It's never been down when I've checked. Literally, NEVER.

    Hi,

They limit the number of downloads so it's no good is it ?

    Cheers,
Is that a question, or a statement? You appended a "?" to the end, but stated it matter-of-fact-ly. If they limit the downloads, then I'm not aware of it, since I've always been able to download Magician from that page.

In any case, it doesn't much matter if you get it from an alternate site, or whether the file is older than the latest version.

Point #1: The file is digitally signed, its' legitimacy can easily be verified by checking for that signature. If it's not present, or has the wrong signature, then the file isn't legit. This mostly precludes the possibility of injected malware/tampering.

Point #2: Magician has a built in updater, so even if you install an old version, it won't stay out of date for long. This is, of course, assuming the PC has an active internet connection, which is true most of the time these days.

@Cliff S: I've never had a problem with software downloaded from Major Geeks.

But I didn't find that version (7.3.0) nowhere on internet.
Not even on the Samsung's website.
