This driver supports Samsung NVMe™ SSD 970 PRO, 970 EVO, 970 EVO Plus, 960 PRO, 960 EVO and 950 PRO.

So i'm still using the generic windows 10 version.

Rapid mode is only for SATA drives. Also does nothing good except for benchmarks.

Like slows down boot time, because the system needs to load saved, most used, cached files to memory.

Well that is unfortunate.

I suppose that, since Direct Storage reportedly requires Microsoft standard nvme drivers, Samsung and others have no incentive to update their drivers.

New Update released for Samsung Magician today. Version: 7.1.0.770

If you have Controlled Folder Access turned on in Windows Security while updating from 7.0 to 7.1, then Magician may fail to launch after the update.
