I would not be in a big hurry to update your firmware ....unless you are having problems with your existing firmware. It could brick your SSD .....as it has in the past with some folks. Your choice of course.

Thanks @Cliff S as always and @OldMike65, you are correct except it's not really a big hurry since I think I have one of the buggy firmwares on my 850 Pro that causes issues so it seems a risk one way or another.

I just tried using the instructions printed on page 4 of the PDF posted by @Cliff S in post #1010 above but did not get anywhere, the unetbootin-windows-661.exe was what I used but when I had it boot up using the USB Flash Drive, all I got was a flashing blinking cursor that used _ as the cursor on the upper left corner of the black screen on my notebook while I can see that the access red light was constantly reading from the USB Flash Drive but nothing else happened at all after 10 minutes.

I have to go to work, so here is a link to my OneDrive(active till Wednesday) in case Samsung does that "limited daily download" like it usually does for new updates. Microsoft OneDrive - Access files anywhere. Create docs with free Office Online.
