Hi Ed. are you sure you are testing the Samsung NVME ? e:\ is not usually your OS Drive ...... and I would assume a score at 2000MB/s + for a NVME drive even an OEM one, my Samsung Evo 970 is 3000+MB/s

That's what I was thinking too actually especially since it says E:\ .

usb3 is theoretically 600mb right?

Something like that but even NVMe is likely to work at SATA speeds only.

Yeah, I think it's safe to say the the limiting factor is the USB channel itself. Even 60% of theoretical max is actually pretty good.

USB C, 3.1 gen2 would get higher speeds. Thunderbolt3 is lightning fast but not many computers have it.

Ok, I thought you were testing the Samsung Driver on your Samsung OEM Drives , it should have no effect if using a NVME Drive in a USB3 Housing.....

@Kbird the "sender" is the NVMe built-in and the receiver is on the USB end. Both ends make a difference, but the receiving end is so much slower than the sending end, the Samsung driver on the sending end was different but mostly noise level (not significant).

Have a question, recently updated to Samsung Magician v5.3.1, is it supposed to check for the latest firmware because it appears that Samsung Magician reports I have the latest firmware version of EXM02B6Q on my SSD-850Pro but Samsung's website has EXM04B6Q available except does anyone here have instructions on how to flash the firmware manually? Thanks!
