    For Performance Optimization Magician

Magician uses basic Windows defragmentation optimization ...

I have disabled at home ... under Windows and Magician

The best for it ... Diskeeper 12 (the 15 does not manage or does not manage ? the external disks)

The difference is that Diskeeper manages the placement of files at their creation

Have a question since everyone is running Samsung SSD's here. Are any of you get bad sectors on the drives after time using it?

    Hi,

Running two 850s a 750 and an OEM Samsung one and all are still 100% good.
No user OP used on any of the SSDs.

    Cheers,

Bad sectors on one of my Samsung Pro 850 2TB.

Sometimes I think it is buying the biggest capacity made when it first comes out. Eve with a Sandisk MicroSD 200GB card, it had problems after 2 months but that was when it first came out. On the internet, someone said Samsung Magician had something to test the drive but all I see is a performance test and Smart status.

Things happen, but I've not run into any issues (bad sectors or otherwise) with my Samsung SSD's drives, and I've been using them since 2013. In fact my old Samsung 840 Pro (256gig) from 2013 is still running without issue in my backup PC.

My main rig has 4 Samsung drives - 950 Pro NVme (512gig), 850 Pro (512gig), 850 EVO (2TB), and 850 EVO (1TB), no issues with either of them. The oldest one being the 850 Pro bought in 2014. The newest being the 1TB drive bought in May.

I thought your question was answered in your previous post you linked? I believe the answer was yes. No need to start another post when you already have a thread going for the same question.
