Do not use magician to over-provision

Cliff, thanks for the reply. Actually, I did read thru the .pdf guide before installing. Being technically challenged, I understood about 50%. The part you highlighted above is in the 50% I didn't get. :) I've had Samsung SSDs since the 830 (I think it was) and with Magician back then, it just worked. It OP'd automatically or I could set a custom range. I don't understand exactly what the issue is at the moment but I gather it can be fixed.

Could you describe what I need to do to have OP working on my machine - or point me to what should be looking to do?

    Thank you, Kent
Can you post a screenshot of the drive in question, in disk management first please?
    like this:

In Magician the visual of the drive partitioning is so gawd awful, I just noticed, and doesn't look like what I have in Disk management, i noticed.

As you can see, it has C: & D: that have and should be D: & E:

Also it gives a total for all my drives and is not drive specific.

I really recommend trying to create a unallocated partition manually.(shrink a partition to whatever % or size you wish), then delete the newly created volume that does not contain data)

I have set OP on all three of my SSDS. When I next clean install will I need to wipe the drives in order to set up OP again or will the OS or magician recognise them?

OP is only unallocated space, and Windows will see it as such.
The OP is created only so you don't overfill the disk, and the SSD's controller uses it when moving data around during retrim and garbage collection, Windows doesn't and can't use it.

So is you don't delete the current partitioning, and just reinstall over it, even your system disk will remain the same(partitioning).

Note, on my Samsung OEM M.2 NVMe MZVLV512HCJH(Samsung PM951) I have not OP'd, but my SATA 2.5" drives I have.

I only have my programs on it, so it will never be full.
My 4 disk set up is in my specs of what is on what, but here is the visual:
(yep, even an extra SSD for my OneDrive folder)

Sounds good, though I leave my profile and caches on my M.2 being the fastest disk, you really want that stuff there.
Instead of moving the whole profile, just move all libraries, except desktop, to another drive(as that is of the used, and if you remove the libraries disk, you will still have any portable programs, and your shortcuts still.

    Oh. ok

Also you might want to open command prompt and run:
    Code:
    winsat formal
then reboot, so the system can make any adjustments in deems necessary.
