    incompatible driver question win11 23h2

i had win10 on this pc and then it became win11 ready so i let the pc install win11 23h2 and then i got this notice that i had incompatible drivers. and for all i tried i could not resolve it so i just dismissed it, but i should go and get this resolved because in my research it said something about the security may not be working good.

this is what i see in that windows security section so how can i resolve this if it really will become a security issue. thanks

go to your motherboard manufactures website or if its the laptop in the description then its website and see if they have windows 11 drivers. if its the laptop they probably won;t.

check in windows update bu checking for updates. Just keep going through if there is existing one like let them install, it won't always prioritize drivers over updates so it might take a while for drivers to show up in the list. or scan in device manager.

if you know how to read hardware id's then you could use something like this to get the vendor drivers
    PCI Lookup
    or from
    https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Home.aspx

or last effort catch all download this and scan with it.
Snappy Driver Installer Origin – Glenn's Page

if none of those work then you are out of luck unless you are strong at tying things togeather to find drivers.

Win 11 will still be using the same catalog that is here now so if its saying no drivers then you are probably out of luck. All though windows catalog is not perfect because its missing lots of drivers.

if its the laptop in the description then IVY bridge is pretty old so it probably won't have windows 11 drivers. You would think that 10 ones are sufficient but if its telling you no then its telling you no.

actually that does not make sense what computer specs? ivy is not going to get auto update to 11 because its not eligible. if its that computer then it most likely won't have 11 drivers its a misnomer and because they won't be updating them.

The only difference between Windows 11 and Windows 10 is that in Windows 10 the default setting for Memory Integrity is 'OFF' and in Windows 11 it is 'ON'. You would have seen the same incompatible drivers listed if you had tried to turn on Memory Integrity in Windows 10.

Your incompatible drivers are all third party drivers, your screenshot tells you who the third parties are. You need to go to their respective support sites to look for updated drivers. If there are no newer drivers, then you have to decide if your priority is to keep the third party software working, or to unistall its driver to allow Memory Integrity to be turned on. I suspect in particular that if there is no updated driver for your Siemens Hearing Solutions then you'll decide to do without Memory Integrity. It adds an extra layer of security, but it's not a big risk to leave it turned off. You have, after all, been running quite happily without Memory Integrity in Windows 10 up until now.

I agree in this context memory integrity is not a big deal really, we have been doing without it until recently.

I missed the image where it says Siemens hearing solution.
if that is something you can go without even then just remove the app. I don't know anything about hearing aids so i cannot even think of a reason why there is hearing aid software on the computer, if its not critical to you hearing then remove it.

Easy solution to get memory integrity. and then you an always look to update the software after that. Software like this is often neglected though or phased out fast because it works as is.

ok after some quick looking then i am guessing that you have software to tune your hearing aids? you would then want to go to that companies site and look if they have updated drivers or you will need to contact them and ask if they have compatible drivers that suit windows 11.

This is only if you care about the feature.

What was done with the applications / drivers with Windows 11 problems?

    Reinstalled or not reinstalled?

How was Siemens hearing solutions used prior to the recent problems?

How was it used on Windows?

i do not understand this question. that program is a hearing aid fitting program and it should be win11 ready as my audi has win11 and runs this program

well i got a notice a few days ago telling me i can install win11 so i let it install and then the next day i get a notice that i need to address some security issues and that took me to drivers. i did not have those issues with win10 but win10 may not have looked-for those issues. i wonder how audi's deal with that hearing aid program. i have to run that program to tune in my hearing aids and i have no idea how the drivers are not compatible or got doubled up. i could not even see them in the siemens' fitting folder. and i changed the attributes in file explorer and still could not delete them.

anyway i now have win10 back and the files i need for now and already i got the notice to install win11 it has been less than half an hour and win11 want to install. nope not this year
