    Hi,

Interesting, VeloSSD seems to be using the SSD's as a cache for the spindle HDD's and not actually to make the SSD's faster.
Yes, it works similar to HHDD's but without the SSD size limitation. Interesting to those people using massive HDD volumes I suppose.
Then there's also their MaxVeloSSD software which uses DRAM as a cache as well allowing for speeds well beyond that of a SSD.

SSDfresh explains pretty much what it does and, like I said. item #3 (the services) you can disable them manually yourself.

    Cheers,

    Hi,

My guess would Fast Start Up, Prefetch and Superfetch.

    Cheers,

Fast Start is probably the only one that's enabled by default as Prefetch and Superfetch are disabled in Win7/8/10 automatically when a SSD is detected, if not I assume "winsat formal" should have done it.

Version 5.2 Rapid Mode crashes & turns itself off a few minutes after startup.
Version 5.1 does not crash & turn off.
    Pentium T3200, 4GB RAM.

Todays OS, win, Mac, linux etc, all are ssd optimized. No need to go for any specialized softwares.

I have see that when using any other disk than the system disk.
My system disk was/is M.2, and my virtual machines were on a 850Pro, so I tried using RAPID, so it could speed up my VM's(like updates and malware/AV scans and the such).
RAPID would shut itself off after a while though.

I don't have the problem anymore, as the new PC I built has two M.2's(one for system, and one for all my VM's)

A video I made of it, in case you are curious how well it worked when RAPID functioned.

anyone else noticed something Weird with 5.2 and it Performance speed ...I have never seen speeds this high , upto 3320mbs while AS SSD Bench is still showing the Usual 24-2500mbs, as does CrystalMark. Drive seems to be running about 5° C hotter as well.

Not sure if it is 5.2 or this weeks Windows 10 Update or something else causing it.... something in the last week or so....
