Thanks. I am not worried about write cycles on modern SSDs, you'l never reach it.
    In "normal use" no.
But constantly running benchmarks, to look at numbers that have no meaning, too often, will.

I don't do them that often. Was just curious if my perception was real.

I would never be able to perceive a difference myself, because all my libraries(except Desktop), OneDrive, and my virtual machines are on their own 2.5" SSDs(see my specs.

The only large program I have on my system that takes a while to load is GIMP.

But you game don't you, Nick?
So you might notice a speed difference where I won't:)

It only states under the download:
Enhanced compatibility and stability for systems supporting PCIe.
Which is where they post the changes for firmware updates.

Any "extras" are in the PCIe driver and your motherboards BIOS updates, really.

My games are installed on a 850 2tb drive, on some like Europa Universalis, I do notice a speed increase on the loading screens, but others like Assassins Creed Origins I dont, I think its because they load a lot from the internet. Having said that, I would rather have the SSD than not.

Version 5.2 is out, but they are doing the "only so many downloads in 24 hours thing again" and I couldn't get a copy.
    I'll try tomorrow morning, again.

I did get a copy, and will upload it to OneDrive and post a link after I get back from work this afternoon, but you all can try from Samsung until I get back.
