Alright, thanks! I ran into a whole thing because the machine it's on has a VPN, and so magician would sometimes open the window on boot on account of not having internet access right away; I tried using autohotkey, but winclose would also close the program entirely, so ya. nothing left but to disable magician now. riperoni in mascarpone.

So, if your not using Rapid there is no need in using SM at all.

All I said and meant was that when I try to install a new Windows 10 build with Rapid Mode on the build will fail so I turn it off. It is my right to use it or not to use it as you Cliff don't use it at all but to check for Firmware updates and that is your choice. Rapid Mode makes your Drive faster as that is it's purpose. Ask Oldmike65 about it.

Hard Drives Patriot Hellfire 240Gb M2 PCIe SSD. Several Mushkin SSDs and 24TB worth of WD HDDs.

From your specs I don't see a Samsung Drive.
