I wish I could run mine manually even! It was working fine with a 500GB EVO SSD and I added a 1TB EVO SSD to the other slot on my Asus motherboard. All works great, except Samsung Magician just never launches at all when I run it. Any ideas?

In any case, it is not very important for SSDs

I prefer to run mine manually and disable the scheduler. I usually one it once a week.
I run mines manually except I forget most of the time so I only run it when I remember which can be months later, not sure why the scheduler one isn't working.

It is if you have all these deleted file occupying space and you did not turn on over provisioning which is the case for me.

Are you sure? For me the last run date never updates unless I run it manually but looking at event 258 it runs weekly as it should.

Looks like a display bug to me although I'm not sure how to tell for certain.

TRIM does not damage SSD's since it's for SSD's only. My TRIM never runs for some reason even though it's supposed to run weekly. As stated previously in the thread, I do have bad sectors on the SSD after 1.5 years but it's less than 1MB so hopefully it's not a issue.

If you think trim isn't running, or are not sure, read this to check and enable if necessary: Check and Enable or Disable SSD TRIM Support in Windows 10 | MyWindowsHub

Not 100% certain as there is always uncertainty and I am basing it on the Current Status, I don't have a event 258 in my event viewer. How did you get that to show up?

    Hi,

If trim is enabled, you should check that by following the instructions in @Cliff S's link, then it will generate an Event ID 258 every time it runs automatically.
