Now, I find that Magician is not working perfectly, when I tried to cancel overprovisioning, the clear op is greyed out.
must stop completely and restart the Magician

I find that with rapid mode enable under Windows 10 Random Reads and Random write are substantially slower than under Windows 7 plus when I turn rapid mode off random writes increase by 50 percent. My conclusion is Samsung magician is not yet optimized for Windows 10 so I am leaving rapid mode off.

Thanks a lot for your appraisal Antec.
I hope this solution to work well till the Samsung team comes up with a legitimate one.
I just don't know why these people test patience of consumers! When they can easily provide a solution in that instant.

Ahh. Anyway enjoy the RAPID Mode

I am currently using a samsung 840 pro for my OS (win 10) drive. I want to buy a second ssd (850 evo) to use as a secondary
drive. Will Magician show me the S.M.A.R.T. status of the second samsung SSD as well, or only the main ssd?

i kept getting sound distortion in the speakers even though i have an excellent sound card ; sound blaster z (works for me).
then i uninstalled it and it was gone. i would say that, until samsung and everything can catch up to windows 10. i wouldn't use samsung magician since it can terribly damage your system since it kept eating the sound out of my speakers. and it kept asking to restart after i rebooted the computer (samsung magician has stopped working click ok to restart the application or cancel to quit. and everytime i clicked ok it would kinda hang in the system creating this bsod imminent distability. OP (over provisioning) will still work since its already enabled on the ssd's from before samsung didnt support windows 10. i wouldnt go as far to enable rapid mode via a breaker method since by my head that sound kinda that it would damage the system even more.

Just a quick point of clarification for @Cliff.

Are you using a 850 EVO and are you currently using any version of Samsung Magician on your Win 10 rig.

If I read this right, you are using an 850 EVO but you are not using Magician.

Sorry, did you mean me? I have 840 Pros and I have version 4.7 on both machines. See my post here. If you meant another Cliff, oooops then.
