Things happen, but I've not run into any issues (bad sectors or otherwise) with my Samsung SSD's drives, and I've been using them since 2013. In fact my old Samsung 840 Pro (256gig) from 2013 is still running without issue in my backup PC.

My main rig has 4 Samsung drives - 950 Pro NVme (512gig), 850 Pro (512gig), 850 EVO (2TB), and 850 EVO (1TB), no issues with either of them. The oldest one being the 850 Pro bought in 2014. The newest being the 1TB drive bought in May.
Like I said, those are smaller capacity drives as they are not 2TB and are those running as your main drive for both the OS and data and 24/7/365? I have 2 of the same Samsung Pro 850 2TB drives, the second drive is doing nothing and has no bad sectors at all. It's only the C: drive which has the problems and both of these drives are from December 2015. I'm using it in a notebook where the drives are running at 60C.

Please read again what you quoted. Notice the 2TB SSD drive listed?

Here's the image of my Samsung Magician software, listing the drives...

And YES, my 2TB SSD drive runs all the time since it's my game drive as well as downloads and data drive. It works nearly as hard as the 950 Pro which is the OS drive.

My Gigabyte Z270 (Z270X-Gaming 8) board natively supports m.2 so no need for a PCIE adapter.

And you can click on "My computer" (lower left) to see my system specs.

    Hello,

Is this on your ASUS G74SX? The 60 °c is too much (No need to worry about temperature on G75V)

The Samsung manufacturer's maximum temp is 70 °

Certainly, 60 ° for an SSD, it is less serious than for a DD ... but this is however very high

Did you update the driver ?

    Hi,
On one of my machines BIOS is set to RAID because I'm actually using a RAID 0 config.
    Cheers,
    Hi,

A Raid0 with SSD? If so, which SSDs? Samsung?

Please, can you show a benchmark? (I am of the time of using Raid with Velociraptor ... lol)

I have a Phenix Blade 480Gb PCIe 2.0x8 for testing. This is a Raid5 builder.
(This is not reliable. I have two RMA)

That's good, but less good than a Samsung in Quick Mode

    Hi,
    @Antec:

2 Machines : -one using Intel RST software raid 0 (BIOS RAID) using two Mushkin Chronos G2 ssd. Basically read/write speeds are at least twice the nominal manufacturer specs.
The second Machine uses a Delock (Asmedia ASM 109 Fast) ) Raid 0 using 2 Samsung 850EVO M2 cards in a single 2.5 inch enclosure.
Benchmarks for that one come close to that of a Samsung 960 PRO without the heat problems typical of MVMe cards.

I can't post screenshots of the benchmarks right now as I'm posting from a different machine.

    Cheers,

PS. I use my Velociraptor for backups now.

Yes, I missed the 2TB but that is still a EVO drive not a Pro so just like anything else, the higher the performance when it comes to memory based products, the less forgiving it is. What are the temps of your drive since that makes a difference since I think you have way more cooling and airflow than my system which is a laptop that is running the drives at 60C not 60F which does put a lot of stress on the drive. My desktop still has 7200RPM spinners from 23 years ago and they are working fine but drives usually fail a lot faster in a laptop environment. I also run 100 browser tabs at a time which is more stressful than any gaming. The other thing is your 2TB drive is not running in Rapid mode so that could be a difference too. I just know with any Solid State device, when there are bad sectors/clusters/blocks or whatever it is called, it is not good and probably safer to get a warranty replacement. The only thing is I don't know what % of the drive is actually bad since if it's a low percentage, it's not a big problem.
