That's a new one on me. Did not have that issue inprior versions when running on Windows 7. Do you happen to know the reasons why that would be the case?
I mean you'll have to go through the whole process of installing SM4.8 and turning on RAPID(if you use it)

Good point Cliff, almost forgot...lol Going to do it now...

I am clearly missing something. Rapid is activated after the boot process is complete and is similar in concept to a RAM cache. As such, it should have no impact on the image or the imaging process itself. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I suspect they're just getting at having a new baseline image with 4.8 already installed and RAPID active (or not, as will likely be my case). My MR incremental at 4am tomorrow will be soon enough for me to capture it.

If you had a BSOD right now,
    and reimaged right now,
you would have only the software and services running, that your last image has,
meaning you would have to update Samsung Magician again(and reactivate RAPID).

I get it. If I uninstall magician and then make a disk image, you are saying I will have to reinstall magician to enable rapid.
However, if I were to uninstall magician I would also be eliminating the rapid service and hence the rapid function. If on the other hand I left magician installed but not actively starting, rapid would continue to operate on my PC and if I were to restore that image, rapid would also be active. Sorry if this sounds confusing.

Not trying to be a wise ass or argumentative. I have a lot of respect for your posts on other topics and just want to clarify if I was missing anything.

PS just saw your last post. All is clear. Damn you type fast

It needs to run a few days so it knows what programs to cache, just like prefetch does. Any speed improvements will be gradual, except for benchmarks, there you will notice an immediate difference.

    Thanks for that Dropbox link!!!

Samsung Magician 4.8 seems to be working on Windows 10 Pro now, even the Rapid Mode. On my Samsung 850 Pro the bench mark test had gone from 560 MB/sec to 5205 MB/sec for read and from 529 MB/sec to 4023 MB/sec for write. When it first boots up, Windows Explorer is very busy for a few seconds and I guess that has to do with rapid mode. I don't really care much if I notice a difference, I 'm just happy to get software that works as advertised.

One little thing I notice and it may be a typo, my SSD the 850 PRO is not listed when it comes to data security but the 950 PRO is listed but that SSD is not yet available as far as I know.
