Might be a silly question but do you have / open Samsung Magician with full admin rights?

Also, there's thread on Samsung forums regarding this pickle:
Solved: Samsung Magician 'Unable to get the volume information' - Samsung Community
With no conclusion I'm afraid...
Always worth double-checking...!
The thread I linked indicates that other have experienced the same issue - which could only be remedied by re-installing Windows. Uhm...

Did you try earlier (v5.x) version of Samsung Magician as has been suggested there?
Also, entirely out of my interest: is your OS installed by you or OEM on this SSD? Or the contents is from a cloned drive?
Also, do you really need to use OP at all?
Just for chuckles, I started it "Run as Admin" but it made no difference. I only have Windows set up with one user login and it is Admin.

No, I haven't tried an earlier version of SM.
I cloned the SSD from an HDD. The PC was originally a Win7 machine. I did a clean install of Win10 in dual boot mode. Once I had Win10 running the way I wanted, I deleted dual boot and the Win7 partition. Then I got the SSD and cloned it from the HDD.
Do I really need OP - probably not. I was just interested in getting it working. Hoping I had maybe missed some simple, obvious setup option or something.
Interesting. I wonder what would be the difference between an OEM install vs. a user install and then clone? I'm sure there's been a lot of machines out there upgraded this way.
That's why there is no recovery partition. The PC naturally came with a Win7 recovery partition. Once I had Win10 installed and the Win7 partition deleted, I deleted the Win7 recovery partition and gave that space to Win10.
I don't currently have anything in the Q:/ partition, so I could delete it leaving it as more contiguous unallocated space and see if OP then works.
Probably something to do with Disk / Volume IDs - worth digging into this if you happen to have too much time on your hands at the moment
