    Tip   Tip

    • You will need to have cookies enabled, check the accept box, click Next, and click on the High Definition Audio Codecs (Software) link before it will take you to the actual Realtek HD audio driver download page.
    • You can download a ZIP version or the EXE version of the driver.
    • When the driver installation is complete, you will need to set your audio settings again in the Realtek HD Audio Manager in the Control Panel (Classic View).
    • Some OEM computers will have a custom version of the Realtek HD Audio Manager with the OEM manufacturer's name included instead. For example it may be named "Acer [Realtek] HD Audio Manager" instead for the OEM Acer.

    I got this via windows update on Saturday. I checked the driver version in device manager just now to be sure. It installed fine the first time.

    I thought my system was becoming more stable after the updates with 10074, but after installing the Realtek update, I started getting Blue Screens again. I do not know for sure it was related to that update and the Blue Screen still seemed to be related to video drivers.

    Realtek R2.78 drivers install OK on 10122

    FWIW, the new Realtek R2.78 drivers install and work OK with the latest 10122 release.

    Version from Microsoft Update Catalog > (32bit) (64bit)
    Driver date is 5/19/2015. WHQL for Windows from Vista to Windows 10
    Extract all the files from CAB file and use Device Manager & choose the correct INF file to install the new Realtek audio driver

    Guess what folks? Another new Realtek HD audio driver is out from Microsoft (they're on a roll lately with these)

    This time, version from Microsoft Update Catalog > (32bit) (64bit)
    Driver date is 5/26/2015. WHQL for Windows from Vista to Windows 10

    I just checked the Microsoft Update Catalog site a while ago and yes folks, new Realtek HD audio drivers are available there - this time version dated 6/2/2015.

Hello Everyone. I have a Jabra bluetooth speaker (the Solemate Mini). On Windows 8.1 I plug it in to my laptop using the 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable and then, when I watch a movie, it correctly outputs to the speaker and does not use my laptop speakers....
