My audio messes up when I wake up my computer from sleep

Hi, like the title reads, whenever my computer goes to sleep and I wake it up, my audio messes up. I use headphones. The audio sounds bass boosted, muffled, and just awful. The audio driver I use is Realtek Audio. I got the driver downloaded from here: https://www.dell.com/support/home/us...driverid=mmggg

It was probably a stupid theory, but I tried unplugging my headphones from my laptop and put it to sleep. I woke it up, plugged my headphones back in, and the audio still got screwed up. So I know it's not my headphones.

I can actually uninstall and reinstall the driver but it always screws up when I let my computer sleep so I've disabled sleeping until I can somehow get this fixed. So... technically it isn't THAT big of a deal since I can solve it, but it's persistent and I really don't want or need my laptop running 24/7. I still hope this counts as a problem anyways. I hope I explained enough. I appreciate any advice. Thank you :D

Hi Drevis. Welcome to the TenForums @Drevis

Just for clarity is this after sleep or after hibernation (deep sleep).

Usually hibernation kicks in around three hours after machine has been asleep.

So if you let your machine nap, say 20 minutes, do you get the same awful sound?

Thank you! And yep, it still happens even after just a little while.

Your system spec says you have a Dell Inspiron 7559 but that driver says it is for other models.

If you go to www.dell.com/support/home/product-support/servicetag then enter your Dell Service Tag it should show you the appropriate drivers and updated BIOS for your specific computer.
