8302 seems very clean and even sounding, I like it more than 8295 (which I also liked more than 8279), so it's pretty good with what I listen to. :)

Maybe with 8279 and later, they finally have a audiophile doing the Quality Control on the drivers...
many times the newest Realtek audio drivers obtained from MS Update Catalog or from any other PC/OEM manufacturer beside Gigabyte or Sager/Clevo do NOT include the Creative MBAPO DLL integration files and only include integration with Dolby, DTS, SRS, etc. some other OEMs like Dell have customized Realtek audio drivers with only Waves Maxxaudio integration (like v8248) for specific Dell machines.
for those using certain MSI boards or MSI laptops, latest customized Realtek audio driver with Nahimic APO DLL integration files included is v8279.
I haven't done a realtek audio driver update since mid-September - still using the customized v8254 driver from Clevo that does have Creative MBAPO integration on my aunt's Dell Inspiron 580 computer & enjoying the old X-Fi MB2 software on there.
So modifying the INF to include my specific hardware ID and using that v8254 from clevo didnt work with xfi XMB 5.
Sad I want to build a new pc just to get a new motherboard to get the creative audio dsp instead of buying the 150 sound card that doesnt work as good as the dsp software lol.
We don't really know if they are employees or not as for all you know, it could be outsourced where they don't have physical access to any of the hardware and they just write the stuff remotely or they are just interns for all we know. Ofcourse there is the chance that whoever is the Release Engineer got replaced either by promotion or terminated and the new person is more competent or actually has standards that has to be met. Hard to say. It's almost like all speaker drivers are made in China including Dynaudio and B&W but some are good and some are bad, it all depends on where the Quality Control is done and the engineering like take Cambridge Audio for instance, it is engineered and QC's in England even though it's assembled in China. The issue is if they had a change log or even allows consumers to provide feedback, then they would have quality drivers.
Without any credible change logs it's difficult to know why so many changes in drivers. It's not like they release new chips twice a week !!! I can't see any other component that has driver updates so often, not even close.
Just installed 8302 (latest) , awsome sound , especially with the latest FXSound Enhancer .................!!
