Since changing their links, it seems Realtek is now requiring an email address to send you the link to download any of their drivers/software!?! That's absurd.

Just like MS , now Realtek using telemetry................( spy,spy.....)

Now that is absurd!
Looking today in the Microsoft Update Catalog for any updates for my Realtek High Definition Audio driver, I came across the most recent update for my device:
HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0282&SUBSYS_103C80C1
According to Microsoft this update is recommended, (among others 1703, 1709, 1803) for the products: Windows 10, version 1809 and later, Servicing Drivers
So if I install this driver, I will be fully compatible with the upcoming (when that day comes...again!) Windows 10, v.1809.
Now to get serious:
The update, although dated in the catalog as 5-Jan-2017, according to its file dates it was created 28-Oct-2018!
The version of the update is 6.0.1.8036, the exact same provided by Realtek in 11-Jan-2017!
Now how come Realtek provided in Jan-2017 an updated driver for the Microsoft Windows 10, version 1809 (you know, the one that is paused the last month!!!) is beyond me…
Any ideas and/or suggestions are welcome!

My two cents re the latest HDA 6.0.1.8564...
I think it's the best sounding up to now. On my system everything sounds so well-balanced.

A mere 8/100. I'm using my Denon in ear headphones. The original version 8067 has no such issues.
Actually I just noticed the 8067 has the same "crackling" noise too. I'm going nuts. Lol

this whole realtek drivers thing is a mess. There are like 2-3 people that have the link to realtek's actual ftp that holds the latest releases and they use that as some sort of means of accumulating likes and reputation in forums instead of sharing the links so anyone can go download themselves. I also have no idea why the heck rtk is having a private ftp, but this is the situation.
So we end up with this situation where microsoft drivers are pretty much always the generic types and the customized oem drivers you can either find an old version for your motherboard on the oem site, or the new version from other websites where these people are posting what they get from rtk's ftp.
amen exactly
admins need to fix the bs on caps, cause that was in all caps as it should be since it's exclaiming.

Today I noticed it, but I'm not sure related to the driver or my own headphone cable is loosened.

What you mean by realtek private ftp?
I just download my drivers from Necacom website

They have an FTP with nicely structured folders, per OEM. I am unsure why it's not public. I assume they also have some test/beta versions on it and don't trust normal users with properly choosing a version for their OEM. There are plenty of 3rd party sites posting these drivers, but they all leech from each other, and all leech from the 2-3 people that actually have the links/pssws to the FTP.
