Same here , when clicking on the Realtek Audio Config icon in the Windows Configuration Screen , nothing happens !
I have to use the "RtkNGUI64" file which is placed in Program Files\ Realtek , this is the only way for configuration of the Realtek.

That's odd, I followed all instructions to load the UAW, and there is only the std RAVCpl64.exe in my Program files>Realtek folder. Both Control Panel and desktop apps work, but I lost many additional features after my uninstall/reinstall using the method here

Some of the instructions were a little hard to grasp, but I thought I did it properly and it does show the proper 8459 driver.
I do know I was able to install the Controller from MS Store, but I get a RPC error each time I try and open it, then it puts PC in a funk and has to be rebooted.

I do have that same "RtkNGUI64" in one of the .cab files I got from a link on here for the 8470 driver, but when I click it, it does nothing so somewhere through trying to get the UAD and the manager program from MS Store, I have ended up with a Audio control software with less settings.

I've posted issues and questions about several items on here, but it seems I've only got an answer to one of them, I'm not sure if it's that I am doing something wrong, but I don't seem to get much help "not being a dick" I just see others getting responses, but I don't seem to, so good luck and please share should you learn anything.

I wonder if 6.0.1.8475 will show up on MUC...
I have heard really good things about this update. Plus, for those who have HP PCs, there's a version with Conexant APO integration.

Waiting for 6.0.1.8475 on MUC , though 8470 sounds very good , and awsome in combination with FxSound Enhancer and Dolby enabled.............!

Finally, 8470 cured my problem with Youtube and online low sound level !! It's also a keeper as far as sound quality.

What I've noticed is that the method of installing drivers on the main page has issues on some systems. On my system DTS II, the Equalizer and the built in Amplifier don't function and in some driver versions the Realtek Control panel doesn't open at all.

However I found a way around this issue. Using an older driver specifically 7848 , other versions may work however I found version 7525 provided for my MOBO for Windows 7 doesn't work. 7848 is the version provided by ASUS on their website for Windows 10 for my specific MOBO, you may have to try other versions for other chipsets. I don't think the latest version provided on the Realtek website works(R2.82 8186), for me personally using that installer breaks the Realtek Manager before installing any other updated drivers.

Step 1: Uninstall all audio drivers.
Step 2: Install Realtek Driver version 7848 using the proper Realtek installer.
    Step 3: Restart.
Step 4: Keep the 7848 driver installed.
Step 5: Download the newest Driver supported by your system from the Windows update site.
Step 6: Extract the CAB file.
Step 7: Go to your device manager, find the Realtek High Definition Audio device.
Step 8: Right click the device, select update driver.
Step 9: In the new window select "Browse my computer for driver software".
    Step 10: Click Browse.
Step 11: Locate the extracted driver folder, click Ok.
Step 12: Click next, wait for the drivers to install.
Step 13: Click close and restart the computer.

Now the Realtek Manager and all of its functions should work.
There is one exception but that may be an issue limited to my system, for me personally the built in amplifier only works on the back port if I switch the Amplifier setting to Auto Switch, it doesn't work on the front port regardless of setting.

    Hope this helps someone.

New member here, wanted to know if it's worth it to update from 6.0.1.8233 to 6.0.1.8470/75? Thanks in advance.

Hello and welcome to the forum!
It wouldn't hurt to try. I find that 6.0.1.8475 is a great update. I just hope MUC eventually publish it. A few of us have downloaded it from another website, but usually third-party links are not allowed here (if I'm not mistaken).
