That picture I took of my EQ the way I like it has come in handy a few times since I screen shot it on the Insider preview of 1803. This new driver wiped my settings but I had a picture of how it is set. They really need an option to export the EQ settings though.

It's not difficult to get and install the driver, but it's definitely a crap shoot.
When it comes to knowing if the driver you just installed works or not.
Even the driver available form my motherboard vendor, is having issues.

I must have installed every driver available in the last 3 years and I keep having the same issue.
I really have no idea, why I keep having the same issue with every driver I install.
I'm begging to think, that this isn't a driver issue at all.

Might be a hardware issue, bad board. Just a suggestion, don't get upset :) Next time you do a build, get an ASUS board, you'll like them a lot better.

Sorry, but I'm already upset about this.
I had no audio issues, until the 1803 update installation.
I've been trying to fix this issue ever since.
I have to work with the mobo that I've got.

I've refrained from sharing the smaller-sized updates seeing as most don't work for many of us.
If there's an option available that is anywhere from 137-143 MB, it's usually good for my system and for many others...
and those updates I will post here.

I extracted and installed this driver,
using your suggested .cab file in this post...

    So far it's been working,
but I'll know more in a day or two.
    Thanks! :)
I just hope this driver doesn't produce the same anomalies,
    that all the others have.

    Fingers (and toes) crossed.

The smaller-sized updates worked on my end by doing the: "Browse my computer for driver software" > "Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer" > "Have Disk" > "Browse" > pick an .inf file and OK.

If i do the regular "Browse my computer for driver software" > "Browse", just like with the traditional 130+MB updates, it always state that the "The best drivers for your device are already installed".

It prompts this while doing it, though:

but it ends up working nonetheless.

    YMMV of course.
