If the sound of a particular player doesn't change, perhaps it's in a mode that bypasses the Windows mixer?

If you update, let me know what you think. Gracias.
They sound OK to me. They sound like the bass has been boosted and the top end has been rolled off slightly. Not a great difference from the last two or three releases :)

@asturias7, after further listening I reckon you need to give them a try, I think you'll like them :)

I think I am finally gonna delve into the the modified RealTek with Dolby in it. I'm looking at my DevMgr and see that the driver installed is actually from the skippy build, 10.0.17634.1000 - so time to update it. /methinks.

Might build a batch file to keep handy to do this if I get upgraded builds at the same frequency that I have been getting the last couple of weeks lol.

This is the latest version available:

This is the result when I try to install the latest version:

I always install drivers from extracted CAB files and never had a problem until this latest version. What am I missing?

I updated to 8409 , no problems with the device manager in Win10.
Latest 8412 not possible ( yet) , only fits on device ven_10ec&dev_0292.............

8412 will not work for you unless your Device ID is ven_10ec&dev_0292. This is why it won't update to this version.
The latest update that should work for you, as it has worked for most of us, is 6.0.1.8409:
