Hi,
Well, we do not "have to" upgrade these RT drivers once we found a set we truly like, right ?The last few releases have been of a high standard, how long before the bubble bursts :)
Cheers,
PS: Still have to dl and install though.
That's always the problem fdegrove, we always have to try the latest ones out, Most times we find we are missing nothing and go back to our favourite build but there's always the chance we could be missing out on that one magic sounding upgrade.
I've always got 8279 stored away in my driver archive though :)
Hi,
Likewise here. Great minds and all that.....I've always got 8279 stored away in my driver archive though :)
Cheers,
My 2 cents re 8308:
I am keeping this update since, to my ears, music (in particular) sounds the way I want it to sound.
All instruments are defined, bass and treble are at the right levels.
Can't get equalizer to work with my Gigabyte B150M-GAMING mobo, nothing works with these drivers, I'm using a driver from realtek's page R2.81 , even 2.82 doesn't work.
My old favorite 8228 ~ 8308. Control panel and all settings appear and work as expected.
Moving to 8308 because...why not.
PSA Edit: I got curious if these "WIN10 Anniversary" version drivers would work on good old Windows 7 Pro x64. They do! Perfectly.

Anyone here uses the built-in equalizer on Realtek HD Audio Manager? If so, would like to know which settings you guys use, so i can try and play with different ones as well
