I've tried 8541 8549 8551, all resulted in random crackling sound when I listen to music or windows will tell me that enhancements need to be disabled when I view my sound devices. I'm using Windows 10 1803/ 1809, ASRock B350 with the 1220 codec.
In the end, I just stuck back to the default 8067.
    What volume did you set?

Why realtek doesn't upload new drivers on this site? They only have 2017/07/26 driver

They send them to MS and let them worry about it. Same are sent to manufacturers I suppose.

Sorry but you are missing my point. Yes I do download from sites such as Station Drivers but posting direct links to the downloads is frowned upon by the admins here unless it's from an official source. I think that's a fair rule.

This whole Realtek drivers thing is a mess. There are like 2-3 people that have the link to Realtek's actual FTP that holds the latest releases and they use that as some sort of means of accumulating likes and reputation in forums instead of sharing the links so anyone can go download themselves. I also have no idea why the heck RTK is having a private FTP, but this is the situation.

So we end up with this situation where Microsoft drivers are pretty much always the generic types and the customized OEM drivers you can either find an old version for your motherboard on the OEM site, or the new version from other websites where these people are posting what they get from RTK's FTP.

My two cents re the latest HDA 6.0.1.8564...
I think it's the best sounding up to now. On my system everything sounds so well-balanced.
