ok, 8496 was great, actually significantly better sounding than 8492 here.
But now I'm finding 8504 is awesome sounding!
Outstanding clarity, separation, and low/high ends.
oh wow I found the drivers on another site. they do sound good.

    edit:

    oh wait.....
    version I got a hold is 8507

bass sounds great, normally when bass is high , sounds gets a little muffled, buts this is clear.

Realtek HD Audio Manager won't open

Hi, I installed the latest Realtek driver for Windows 10 Pro, Version 1803 (build SO 17134.191).
    Sony Vaio laptop from 2013.

But there is no Realtek HD Audio Manager in my Control Panel.
Also when I click on RAVCpl64.exe in C:\Program Files\Realtek\Audio\HDA nothing happens.

When I try to install Realtek Audio Control from
Your request appears to be from an automated process

but it gives me an error:
    Unexpected error: code 0x803FB005

Also I managed to install Realtek Audio Control as desribed here:
How to download Microsoft Store apps - gHacks Tech News

but when I launch it it says: "Cannot connect to rpc service".

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix these issues?

the 8504 is great, but its muffled imao, dont recommend it for gaming midbass is bloated, this fixed the sizzling in vocals i had 8485,but lost clarity and added addinonal bloat to bass, the midbass it extra boosted for sure with this drivers.Tested hyperx cloud 2 with alc887,mabye its different for speakers idk still perfer 8485 over this,my go driver for cloud 2.Next driver all need is to reduce midbass boost and should be pretty decent driver.

8504 might be the best yet. You can tune the eq and get out the annoyances. Going to depend on your on board audio too.

C:\Program Files\Realtek\Audio\HDA\RAVCpl64.exe is the control panel right click make a shortcut and pin to desktop. If that doesn't work the source code may be corrupt.

It's end of life for the classic realtek control.

If side installing drivers, you may have to manually setup services

    Cannot Connect to RPC service"

I had this problem yesterday when I disable one of the realtek startup services. which dont make sense to me.because it shows its running twice in task manager.

    this command listed in

    HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

    C:\WINDOWS\System32\RtkAudUService64.exe -background

is required to run audio console and also,

if its disabled, audio console app will time out with that error.

    in services.

Realtek Audio Universal Service, needs to be running.

but without the registry run command. none of the realtek apps will run.

I just tested this again to make sure, and the error is related to it not running.

I uploaded this rar from my clean pc to my mediafire account.

    **REMOVED**

extract the folder and right click on RealtekService.inf and click install.

it should setup the services required.

    Driver packages

    **REMOVED**
