Cannot turn on windows start sound

I can find nowhere how to turn on the start up sound for windows 10 version 1903. All the instructions here in the forum do not seem to apply to that version. For instance, the instructions say to use Personalize's sound but there is no sound in the personalize window. And the reg file to turn the start up sound has no effect.

What am I missing besides getting old and grouchy?

    Thank you.

Search.... type Sounds, > Change system Sounds.

You're welcome, JJG! MS likes to hide things.

There doesn't seem to be any way to test it though, like you can with the other sounds and like you used to be able to do with Start up sound.

If you have Winaero tweaker, it's easy to play it, and/or change it. Could also write a VBS script as explained in the Winaero Tweaker "How does this work".

Yes, that works but it should be playable through Sounds. One more annoying change MS made that accomplishes nothing accept to irritate people.
