Latest Realtek HD Audio Driver Version

  1.    18 Mar 2018 #601

    Hi,

    Gone back to 8378 :)
Ironically, I'm on that hacked version that supports DTS..... 8393 actually.
Odd how RT drivers never seem to install this DTS whereas the chip I use definitely does support it it.

    Cheers,

    Hi,

So I will stay on my 8395 , which works very fine , with DTS and Dolby enabled.............
That's odd. I installed that version and gone were support for DTS and Dolby.

    Cheers,

I had the same login info, but the previous FTP server was no longer working for me.

I downloaded, installed and tried out the MSI version of 8401. I was a bit suspicious of the small file size but gave it a go anyway. The HD Audio Manager had gone AWOL and the sound was dire campared to build 8378 so uninstalled.
    Gone back to 8378 :)
Having said that I've just installed build 8393 from the MUC and am enjoying the sound of them.

Same here DooGie. Sounds better than 8386, which at times sounded scratchy on the treble side of things.

Yes, before 8393 was listed as "for testing" and that option is still there.
Now there are both 32-bit and 64-bit options available.
more 8393 downloads have shown up recently:

    8393 x64 with Creative mbapo32.dll/mbapo64.dll/mbapo232.dll/mbapo264.dll files included (139.9Mb)
    (download link)
once again the mbapo232.dll & mbapo264.dll files are version 2.0.0.3 and only allow integrated X-FI MB3/MB5, SBCinema & SBX 360/720 apps to only work under Win10 and not under Win7 & Win8.1 due to new DLL dependencies with the newer mbapo232.dll & mbapo264.dll files. I'll definitely use this specific v8393 pack on my aunt's Dell Inspiron 580 after I upgrade the OS on her PC from Win7 to Win10 later this year.

    8393 x64 SST download (303.4Mb) [yup that's right it's 300Mb+] (includes Dolby DAX2 & DAX3 apps and Intel SST related drivers)

I have a question. I remember that driver from the Realtek's website R2.81 was allowing me to use "Noise suppression" as well as "Echo cancellation" on my mic under the microphone effects either in Windows recording settings or realtek's manager.
However with the driver version 6.0.1.8393 (8383, 8351 and 8356 also) there is no option to use noise suppression, only echo cancellation is available. How can I get the option back? the echo cancellation dismisses the static noise from my mic (3.5mm one in the mobo back port) however is lower the quality a lot. Back when noise suppression was available it was not hitting the sound quality so badly.
Mobo: Crosshair VI Hero (ALC 1220)
the latest customized Realtek driver for that Crosshair VI Hero board is v6.0.1.8339 from ASUS, datspike (posted 2/27/2018). stick to using the drivers that ASUS provides on their web site; no need to use any of the realtek audio drivers from MS or from any other source besides ASUS as I've checked the download listings for the Crosshair VI Hero board on the ASUS support site.

what is the hardware device ID of your reatlek audio device, Tonyb? it depends on Realtek chipset and hardware ID used on your PC. Plus there are MANY forms of Dolby that you did not mention a specific version of Dolby [ex. PCEE3, PCEE4, DAX2, DAX3, etc.].

example > my brother's Sony Vaio VPCEB44FX laptop came with Realtek ALC269 audio chipset & the old Dolby Home Theater V3 (PCEE3) enhancement which was relatively weak - it uses hardware ID "HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0269&SUBSYS_104D4600" and the driver installs thru the HDXRT.INF file.

If you can tell us what RLT chipset you have I can tell what Dolby etc it will support.
Most support Dolby, Sonic, DTS etc but RLT updates only support the basic codecs.
    Licensing fees perhaps ? Dunno....
