6.0.1.8378 should now be good for many of us.
The new options (see pic below) for both 32-bit and 64-bit have been posted: Microsoft Update Catalog

The 83 doesnt sound bad on my asus.
Using Realtek.HDA_6.0.1.8378-with-ASIO-DTS-Dolby on FXSound Enhancer , its the best I ever had before.............
This driver gives me a "Dolby-tab " , where you can customize the Dolby-setting ( on/off theatre ) , never had this with all the previous drivers .
On ASUS Z-97K , only updating to next version(s) WITH ASIO-DTS-Dolby , in future.
8378 does not fix the missing LR data in SPDIF output for me.
Who does the audio mixing via optical, Windows or Realtek? If it's Windows I should just save myself the hassle of keep trying new Realtek drivers and see if Microsoft will ever fix the problem.
No they aren't pure gold sounding @IntelliMoo build 8378 sounds more or less the same as build 8366. So yes 8378 is a good build.
Yes, it is !
Problem occurs when updating to newer version , I will lose my Dolby and the Dolby-tab in Realtek .
So I can only update to version(s) with ASIO-DTS-Dolby enabled.............
Hi,
@pietcorus2 :
You may want to try this one : Realtek High Definition Audio (HDA) R2.8x (8393) WHQL + Dolby
Search for it on the net as it's not yet available from MUC.
Cheers,
Indeed, this 8378-with-ASIO-DTS-Dolby , is best I ever had !
Could not find 8393 Dolby so far......
Hi,
Copy paste this into Google and it will show the package:
Download and install at your own risk. Smartscreen doesn't like it but then it never does, does it ?Realtek High Definition Audio (HDA) R2.8x (8393) WHQL + Dolby
Cheers,
