Latest Realtek HD Audio Driver Version

Re: the post above. After reading through the posts here I am certain I am not paranoid regarding Win10 v1703 and Dolby 5.1.

With Dolby 5.1 (Netflix) passing through optical spdif to AV Receiver most sound stages are off center to the right. I isolated just voices coming from the Center Speaker and it is also off center to the right when the speaker is at the left side of the screen. However, with Stereo sources the sound image is perfectly centered whether in stereo or using AV Receiver's own 5.1 recoding.

This is is 8366 driver and many other versions I've tried (but not all obviously), some are worse. So again, does anyone know why or any version of earlier drivers that is without this problem?

    Thanks

Now I know I am not paranoid or going deaf on my left ear, most background music in Dolby 5.1 soundtracks only shows up on the right side but sound effects like bullets etc are passing through the right channels. Do you get this as well? Some drivers seem to be worse but none I've tried is better than 8366, which is still not acceptable.

Maybe something screwy with the Win10 Update changes how Dolby 5.1 is going through optical? I've had the Marantz receiver for 9 years and never had this problem over upgrades from Win7/Win8/Win10 until now.

    yeah, exact same thing

I know it has to do with Dolby 5.1, I think the flipped the sound, instead of having left and right, we got now front and rear, I mean the right side is the front and the left is the rear

Is this a problem of Realtek driver or Win10 v1709 update? I have been googling with all kinds of search terms but found no solution. It seems should be an easy problem to spot and fix at the source if it's just mixing up the wrong channels.

I think is windows 10, cause I didn't have this problem with windows 7, and it should be easy to spot this problem, but I guess not all the programmers use 5.1

really don't know, maybe they know about the problem and they are trying to fix it, otherwise they would not be releasing so many updates of which I only seen 1 I think that is whdl (or whats the abbreviation for the digital sign?)

That makes sense. I downgraded Netflix audio output from 5.1 to 2.0 for less tilt to the right and in some shows the audio volume collapsed. So data pack is definitely screwed up with the left stream, at least in some cases. I couldn't find much help with 5.1 on web searches but did see some complaints of audio volume dropping since the FCU so hopefully even those programmers in their 2.0 headphones have noticed a problem.
