    Hi,

    Must be going deaf as 8233 sounded fine on my systems too. I suspect it's a W10 thing somehow.
    Hard to tell as auditory memory is so short lived and not very reliable either.

    Either way, I have 8245 installed now.

    8245 are pretty good drivers Frank. A lot of detail but they don't ram it in your face

    Version 6.0.1.8251 has been released on the Microsoft Update Catalog, although as I post this it's 64-bit only and the "company" field says Samsung Electronics instead of Realtek like most of the drivers on the MUC.

    anyone know if a old X-Fi Xtreme Music is better then realtek HD audio as i have one in a old computer .

    To my ear it sounds better
    using my Logitech Z 2300's.

    I use Daniel K's drivers.
