Nothing wrong with it soundwise but I can't see any reason to update from build 8219.

Sounds like mud to me I think 8219 sounds better. I however am using 8199 as WU keeps pushing it every time I uninstall the Realtek driver and all my disable update methods using third party tools don't work. It will hide them but after a reboot it will push the 8199 driver again.

W10 now however does not inturrupt your audio it will just show a notification that a reboot is required because it updates while you listen to audio. If you are not listening to audio then it won't ask you to reboot.

then I'll stay with 8219 for now, I think is the best driver so far

Am I the only one with this issue Latest Realtek HD Audio Driver Version - Page 284 - Windows 10 Forums ? Did you check in Reliability Monitor after login (it's a silent audiodg.exe crash)?
The only NON-crashing driver for me with Windows 10 CU is old 6.0.1.7576. With old Windows 10 AU I had no issues using recent (e.g. 2.81) drivers instead. Now 2.81 or 2.82 crash with Windows 10 CU.

I went into Device manager. I choosed the High definition audio driver. Then Update driver. Choosed: search automatic. It found something and installed V. 10.0.15063.502
Now I try to install 6.0.1.8224, but it tell I have a already have a better version. Wish one is best?

I'm only the messenger, I can only suggest that you go back to a driver that DTS does work.
Realtek drivers vary from version to version, sometimes things things work other times they don't. Just try them out and see/hear which version you prefer

Hi everyone, I'm new here. Registered to post on this thread.
Yesterday night, I updated sound driver and now, like others have mentioned here, I have lost Realtek HD Audio Manager. I happened upon this forums by Googling the issue, and sadly I have tried everything suggested here but it is still not working.

When I try to update driver in Device Manager with the .cab one from Microsoft Update Catalog, Windows tells me the best one is already installed.

I then tried post #2777's suggestion to just create a shortcut and put it in /start/Realtek but what happens is I do get an icon in Windows Start menu with Realtek HD Audio Manager but pressing it does nothing. I have verified the target and source are correct, and they include quotation marks.

How can I get HD Audio Manager back? I really need it.
