99 has punch, but not as solid as 48.
Test video because of music range:
Kick is also subtler on 99

The 2 negatives I mentioned above I was able to easily adjust for, by turning on Smart Volume and setting the slider to 60.
But when I test the drivers, I first use the default settings for Sonic Studio 3(except I add studio reverb +7, and turn on upmix/surround, but EQ is default for "bright & deep".

I won't have time to do any extensive testing in the next week, minimum - movers came to get 1/2 of my stuff today to move to the new place, and then Wednesday I get Internet (Gigabit fiber, yay!) and Friday I come back here (possibly for the last time) to get the last of my stuff. Which means, with Mother's Day intervening day after tomorrow, and me unpacking all next weekend, and the following week, I will simply not have the time for an in-depth test.
Mea cupla.
8648 better then 8699.............????
