Windows 10: Latest Realtek HD Audio Driver Version

  1.    28 Jun 2017 #2621

I decided to go back to the default MS drivers which also sound great. The realtek constant working then breaking something just to work again then break reminds me of when I use to use dd-wrt on my router. Enough with the freaking updates every few days.

The bass is deeper but still defined using 8192 however I think higher end detail isn't quite as good as 8176.
Yep, that seems so. It's like they raised the low and high ends. I like how the bass is good again without adjustment, but I had to lower my treble-side adjustment.

hmm... I just noticed 8192 has been removed from the MUC.
(oops, it's still there, just not with my usual search term!)

Update: And now there's 8199 there.

Good they can keep it. I am tired of updating my audio drivers every few days anyway like I was with dd-wrt. The MS audio driver has been updated a few days ago with the latest WU and it sounds just as good.

I know what you mean, it's crazy with the minor updates! But I usually only update the audio driver whenever there's a new video driver (nvidia here), to keep it to once or twice a month at most. The only other times I'll update it is if there is a significant jump in revision number, or if the comments here are really good about one.

    Hi,

What bothers me most is the lack of changelog. Do they really care about how it all sounds at Realtek ?
    I very much doubt it.
Audio is a science, it's either right or wrong. Anything inbetween is human perception which is far from being scientific but at the end of the day it's you and me listening to te endresult, right ?

    Cheers,

    Cheers,
I totally agree with that Frank. It would be good if Realtek issued a changelog or even better if they had a place to voice your opinion on the drivers they release.
Even better would be a forum but as you say "Do they really care about how it all sounds at Realtek ?"

Still mate we have to live with what we've got and try drivers out and sort the wheat from the chaff

Version 6.0.1.8199 is pretty good for me though.
