Windows 10: Latest Realtek HD Audio Driver Version

  1.    10 Apr 2017 #2271

Don't ask me what the heck MUC are doing, but now the Windows 10 Anniversary 6.0.1.8105 update is back to being a "full" update, but now when you extract it, it is up from 277 previously to 285 files. It's all so confusing. I wish both Realtek and WUC would provide changelogs or some sort of explanation along with these updates.

Probably they excluded older Realtek HD chipsets from the upgrade as there is no improvement for them using newer drivers.

If Realtek would just provide some explanations of their drivers and what exactly they are for, there wouldn't be so much confusion.

Damn MS !!! not a single time without a hiccup ...
broke my DTS sound + .....control panel disappeared ....& cannot trace its identity even i install manufacturer drivers( HP laptop - I installed the same driver few days back which installed DTS control panel automatically) but not now....
looks like MS & Dolby to break stuff so that we would purchase shitty artificial sounding Dolby access( which they added as a new option in sound settings- clearly advertising Dolby even if it is not installed)!!!!

Update - i even grabbed the DTS software seperate package from the manufacture driver package...& even downloaded it seperately from net....It simply refuses to install saying. You already have a DTS technology installed on this system. The product will not be installed

    Adjust 5.1 speakers with update

Win Creators version, latest Realtek drivers:
I have extremely low sound from my side speakers (5.1) and can't adjust them. There is no "app" to modify the various speaker settings, like distance etc.

Can't these be adjusted from PowerDVD or VLC or other player? What about the volume controls in Playback Devices (right-click on the speaker icon near the clock)?
