Probable some hotfixes and compatibility improvements. Unfortunately mostly newer chipset benefit, older stay the same, or worse not included at all.

    DRIVER VERSION: 6.0.1.8059

    (Only 64-bit Windows)
Just noticed.... 32-bit Windows drivers for v6.0.1.8059 are also available from Microsoft Update Catalog (they're the smaller download files)

Microsoft generally release the 64-bit Realtek drivers first then upload the 32-bit versions to their servers a few days later. Why I don't know, with the bandwidth MS have got I would have thought it would have made sense to upload both builds at the same time.

It's a matter of prioritizing for them. Since most users are on 64-bit systems nowadays, they figure testing & releasing the 32-bit versions is a less urgent matter. Doesn't sound right or nice, but it's their way of reasoning.
