Windows 10: Latest Realtek HD Audio Driver Version

  1.    29 Mar 2018 #2121

    Hi,

    Welcome to the forum.

Are you sure that driver supports the kind of dolby support you're after ?

It's not because it says + Dolby that it actually will install the correct Dolby support.
Have you actually extracted the drivers to a folders yet and checked its content ?

    Cheers,

Gonna see if my system likes the latest 84xx driver.

Then gonna go back to TechPowerUp and see if I can get Dolby working on my system (I doubt it - but what the heck, why not try? )

    Hi,

Export your drivers first to a different drive/partition using Dism /online /export-driver /destination:\Drivers from an elevated prompt.
Then copy RltkAPO.dll and RltkAPO64.dll to a subfolder of D:\DRIVERS\hdxfts.inf_amd64_ea1123ddd3cd0adf.

Haven't had a chance to try this out though.

    Cheers,

Do you export, replace, and then import?

    Hi,

Export, keep a copy of the two files, upgrade to the latest driver you want, then overwrite the apropriate two files with the ones that gave you Dolby in these two folders we discussed above.

    Needs to be tested though.

Thank you both for trying to help me!
I have no idea if the drivers support dolby. Also i didn't export, replace and import anything (complete newbie ) Just read KevinarCZ's post and download and install the same file without any success (no dolby). Is there any guide (step by step) to follow?

    Hi, I proceeded as follows:

    1) Uninstall old Realtek driver
    2) Restart computer with disable driver signature verification
    3) Install new driver from Station Driver
    4) Replace RltkAPO.dll and RltkAPO64.dll
    5) Restart computer

Do you have patched RltkAPO.dll and RltkAPO64.dll? I can send you in PM.
