Windows 10: Latest Realtek HD Audio Driver Version
I tried all this and it used to work. Then the whole thing would stop again and then I would have to do it all over. But the past few days this has not worked ... I need help.
At this point I am ready to give up on Windows 10 for good!
Yeah I've extracted them ever since the first time updating. I noticed if I tried to extract with WinRAR or 7-Zip they would show a warning or error (though they extract much quicker), so I decided to just open the .cab with the default Win10 explorer and copy all the files to a new folder. Then, I told device manager to look in the folder that held that .cab and the new folder as well as to include subfolders. Haven't had any problems doing it that way.
I am not that good at it. Can you give me a more step by step idea to follow?
I did it and it works for now anyway. THANK YOU!
cool will try that OMG highlighting them and selecting extract from windows own system worked great i know have the newest ones and my audio sounds so much better to.

So far Windows Update has not forced the cruddy Realtek audio driver despite all the constant updates. I hope it keeps up making my $99 speakers sound like a cheap $20 speakers unless I use the Dell equalizer which colorizes the sound and makes it worse. Maybe because the build in speakers on the Dell all in one are terrible to begin with. With expensive speakers you don't need no equalizer so the Microsoft HD Drivers are perfect.
I have a set of logitech Z623 THX audio speakers with a nice sub and never had any issues with realtek drivers, these are not windows drivers these are realtek drivers given to MS to update are audio microsoft did not make them.

My ASUS M4N68T-M V2 has a VIA VT1708S onboard audio. The driver I have that worked in Windows 8.1 v10_1200a won't work in 10. Windows doesn't even see the onboard video so it doesn't even look for a driver. It doesn't show up in device manager. In...
