    Windows 10 64-bit

    Just a heads-up re 8311:
There are now two new 64-bit options added that should be final for this update and aren't branded as "for testing".

I have DFX/FX Sound Enhancer installed but I just leave it flat as usually it's the volume that is too soft.
For my analog setup, I have the apps at 100%, the master computer volume at 67% and then I adjust the volume the rest of the way using the speakers (or headphones, as in your case). If your gear was digital (e.g. usb) then you could have the computer volume at 100% also. The reason for not having the master volume at 100% with analog is because of clipping.

You can also get a volume boost while remaining at 67% by activating the loudness equalization checkbox. You wouldn't do this for classical music, but for something else like a sports event or a video that is too quiet, why not?

You can also try activating full range speakers as well even though you have headphones to see how it sounds.

Windows 10 audio has a nice feature that earlier versions don't have, you can manage the bass frequencies so it goes to the right type of device. I haven't tried it myself though.

There is something I am wondering.. in the catalog, putting aside that some drivers contain specific files for Nahimic or Creative, why does it list multiple versions of Windows 10? These drivers labelled as 10 also work on 7 so there isn't something radical like an architecture change present. I just don't understand why 4 builds of Windows 10 need to list drivers separately.. why not just call it "Windows 10 Driver" and have just the one?

Thanks for your input, Sunspark. I know with Walkmans and Discman's, the way I hooked up speakers was usually put the volume at 5 and just adjust the volume on the speakers but it seems like the volume on the Realtek on laptops is not loud at all. With actual computer soundcards, there is usually a line level out so I'll use the speakers amp handle the volume as AR (Acoustic Research) Powered Partners 570 25watts per channel high current amplification is actually pretty loud as it does 40Hz-25kHz. I've never used loudness but I thought that would also basically change the sound too. What I hate about realtek drivers is while it has equalizers, it doesn't show the +- db setting for each one so I have to basically use a sheet of paper to compare the screenshot of the working setting with the actual equalizer so it matches. I installed DFX/FX Sound instead so I don't have to mess with the settings everytime I change the driver version.

Realtek HD Audio driver version 6.0.1.8311 has been mentioned on this thread several times over the last few days.

It's now available from the MUC in it's entirety, 64-bit and 32-bit and several builds for different versions of Windows 10.
