It certainly is. That was ridiculously annoying. I can deal with the sound being a little more muddled, as long as it's in sync with the video.

Well, I was wrong. Audio and video just take a little longer to go out of sync now. Think I may try rolling back all the way to the driver from Gigabyte's site to see if that fixes the issue, so that then I can at least rule out if it's the driver or the OS.

Before coming here I had thought to myself (wow - these 8271 drivers suck and make music sound not as good as it did with the other driver) and lo and behold you all were talking about the same thing.
I have rolled back to 8273. Are the 8275 any good? Those look like the last set of drivers before the 828x series of poo.

Ah ha - Found them in MUC.

I also just got done chatting with Creative. I was trying to legally purchase a license for using Creative 720(Realtek Driver Addon/MOD). They want none of it. Started trying to tell me that the vendors they work with basically have very specific designs that allow it to work... Which we all know isn't true.

But as this is the Realtek Driver thread thats all I will say on the matter since I did see a few people asking about XMB 5 which is the software before creative 720.

Thanks for the suggestion - installing the newer driver now.

Thanks for the heads up IntelliMoo :

I'll have a good look at that, it's far bigger than previous drivers at 268.3 MB.
